This annual chess tournament has been held in Cupertino for the last 10 years. Last year 120 kids participated in the 8-10 year age range. You don't have to be a Cupertino resident to participate. All you need is a zest for playing chess.

I took both my kids to this event last year, and they loved it. The event was well-organized, with clear directions. Though there was a crowd, the waiting time was about 10 mins. Between games, my kids played in the water fountains in front of the library. Day of fun!
